About this Query
Using this query, you can identify and locate all CAFOs that located within a specified distance from any point you define. A map of those identified CAFOs will be generated as well as a table will be presented under the map. The table will
provide the following information about those CAFOs: name, number of milking cows, address, city and county where they are located.
The coordinates (X, Y) are in decimal degree and the radius is in mile.
Example
In this example, suppose we want to find all of those CAFOs that are located within 10 miles of a given point (X=-76.54; Y=42.97). The general procedures are as following:
Step 1: Check on or off the boxes in front of the layers so that only "CAFO Dairy", "CAFO Lables", and "County" are selected. You can select more layers if you want. However, the map will be cleaner and easier to read by checking off those unnecessary layers. Be sure to press "Apply" afterward to make the changes effective.
Step 2: Enter "-76.54" in the text box after "X:" and "42.97" in the text box after "Y:). Then enter "10" in the text box after "Radius:".

Step 3: After entering the county name, press the "Query" button to run it. The map will be updated so that all CAFOs located within 10 miles of that given point are shown at the center of the map. In this case, there are eight CAFOs meet the requirements and they are:
FESKO FARMS, INC.,
JOHN HOURIGAN,
LOCUST LAWN FARM,
MANDALE FARM
,
OAKWOOD DAIRY LLC,
PATTERSON FARMS,
SPRUCE HAVEN FARM LP, and
TWIN BIRCH DAIRY, LLC. All of these selected CAFOs will be highlighted in red color (compared to those unselected in blue color). A table of these CAFOs will also be generated and displayed under the map.

Step 4: Right click anwhere in the area that displays the querying results and then select "Export to Microsoft Excel". Then a Excel windows will pop up and the querying results will be retrieved and displayed as a Excel sheet (See the following two images).
This only applies to Windows XP users. If you are using different operating system, you might just hilight the table and then copy-paste to Excel or Word.
